First item sold
Well it happened today. I sold my first item. It's funny to say that I have mixed emotions. I know I can't keep everything but I love everything I make. Selling only makes sense so I don't have a ton of crochet in the RV. However, the lady that bought it will take great care of it, and she loves it so that brings a lot of joy to me. It was amazing to see how much she enjoyed it and kept petting it as we were talking. Here I am modeling the pocket shawl that sold today.

And you know what I did with the money? I immediately went to Hobby Lobby for more yarn. Yes, more yarn. I told the hubby the only thing that's more addictive than crochet is yarn. And the only thing more addictive than yarn are crochet patterns. Here's another look at the shawl.

In shopping for yarn, I am planning on making another one of these. Off to Hobby Lobby for a customer request of blue! This is what I ended up finding for her.

The nice thing about this was I was messaging her pictures of the yarn in real time. This way she personally got to choose what her shawl would look like. I'm hoping that this is something I can do with future customers. It really took the guesswork out of knowing what she would like, plus it guarantees she gets exactly what she wants. If I can plan this out, I can even video chat and they can direct me to what meets their needs. So many options I'm thinking. She ended up choosing the first one I picked out for her.
I can't tell you how excited I am that something sold. There are two really good positive things from my perspective. The buyer loved it, and I get to do more crochet without it filling up the camper. I am glad that she enjoyed the shawl it as much as I did. I would love for this to expand more into something bigger than just selling items. It would be nice to share more of the crochet community and my love for the art. More to come on that. But today was a great step for The Crochet Camper.
Keep hookin!
Yay! Congratulations!
